I use facebook to keep in touch with friends and post social photos, flickr to post my more exploratory photos, picasa to back up my regular photos, buzz to post work thoughts, tumblr to post personal thoughts, last.fm to chart my music listening habits, goodreads to track books i’ve read, flixster and netflix to track movies i’ve seen, sidereel to list what shows i’ve seen, a combination of google health and cardiotrainer to track my workouts, epicurious to save interesting recipes, yelp to review restaurants, google reader to keep a handle on the news i follow, nytimes for the serious news, and littlesnapper to save design inspiration. I am seriously overwhelmed.

Flying over Denver
Kanchivaram
Directed by: Priyadarshan
Starring: Prakash Raj
Kanchivaram is one of those rare gems in Tamil cinema.
Subtly told and richly textured, this movie spans the life and trials of a silk weaver in South India. It’s set in the past, but it is neither hard to follow nor is it inaccessible.
The man’s triumphs, pride, love, despair, and desperation are artfully depicted and wonderfully acted.
This story is about family, class struggle and economic disparity, a simple love, and one man’s dream. I highly recommend it.
